A família Hai de girafas no Jardim Zoológico de Guangzhou acolheu recentemente um bezerro macho.Nascida às 8 da manhã do dia 7 de Abril, é a oitava descendência da mãe girafa "Haihua" e a terceira geração de mães girafas no jardim zoológico.

A girafa recém-nascida mede tipicamente 1,7-1,8 metros à nascença, mas este bezerro, surpreendentemente, mede 1,9 metros de altura e pesa 77,5 kg. De acordo com os cuidadores, é forte e saudável, e cresce mais alto e mais pesado a cada dia. O bezerro já aprendeu a limpar-se e a dar pequenos passos em torno do seu "berçário", onde descansa e brinca.

The Hai family of giraffes at the Guangzhou Zoo recently welcomed a male calf. Born at 8 am on April 7, it's the eighth offspring of giraffe mom "Haihua" and the third generation of mother giraffes at the zoo.

The newborn giraffe typically measures 1.7-1.8 meters at birth, but this calf surprisingly stands at 1.9 meters tall and weighs 77.5 kg. According to the caretakers, it's strong and healthy, and growing taller and heavier every day. The calf has already learned to clean itself and take small steps around its "nursery," where it rests and plays.

近日，广州动物园长颈鹿“海氏家族”喜添雄性幼崽。幼崽在4月7日8时出生，是长颈鹿妈妈“海华”的第八胎孩子，也是广州动物园母系长颈鹿的第三代。

刚出生的长颈鹿幼崽一般是1.7-1.8米，这次“海华”生产的幼崽身高已有1.9米，重77.5千克。保育员介绍，“海华”的幼崽每天还在不断地长高、增重，是强壮的宝宝。目前，幼崽已经学习和掌握一些本领，能扭动脖子用舌头清洁身体，在“月子房”里小跑，并成功折叠前后脚坐下休息。
