The 42nd Bird Festival and Love Birds Week of Guangdong Province and Guangzhou City were launched on March 19. Themed"Protecting Wild Birds and Building a Green and Beautiful Guangdong", the week-long event features some science popularization activities diverse in forms and rich in content.

A 42ª Festa das Aves e a Semana das Aves do Amor da província de Guangdong e da cidade de Guangzhou foram lançadas a 19 de Março.Temático "Proteger as Aves Selvagens e Construir um Guangdong Verde e Bonito", o evento com a duração de uma semana apresenta algumas actividades de popularização científica diversificadas em formas e ricas em conteúdo.

The activities, including nature observation classes, animal protection hand puppet theater, and animal storytelling, will be held at Guangzhou Zoo, Children's Park, Yuexiu Park, Guangzhou ChimelongSafari Park, and some other places.

As one of the world's important migration and wintering places for migratory birds, Guangdong has recorded 584 species of wild birds, including 136 species of national and 107 species of provincial key protected birds.

3月19日，广东省暨广州市第四十二届“鸟节”“爱鸟周”宣传活动启动，主题为“保护野生鸟类，共建绿美广东”。记者了解到，活动将持续一周时间，主办方将在广州动物园、儿童公园、越秀公园、广州长隆等场所因地制宜为广大游客、市民提供形式多元、内容丰富、获得感强的科普活动，如自然观察小课堂、动物保护手偶剧场、动物故事会等。据悉，作为全球重要的候鸟迁徙和越冬歇息地之一，广东现记录野生鸟类584种，其中国家重点保护鸟类136种、省重点保护鸟类107种。
