Three female students from the South China Normal University's School of Fine Arts—Lan Zongyi, Pan Luwei, and Feng Jiamin—spent over four months conceiving, designing, and crafting shadow puppets to represent 18 sports to be played at the event. Their works will be displayed at the grand ceremony. "Creating shadow puppets is just a small contribution to the Games, and we hope that through this event, the world will know the charm of Chinese shadow puppetry," said Lan Zongyi.

Três alunas da Escola de Belas Artes da Universidade Normal do Sul da China - Lan Zongyi, Pan Luwei e Feng Jiamin - passaram mais de quatro meses a conceber, desenhar e criar marionetas de sombra para representar 18 desportos que serão praticados no evento.
