Os 31º Jogos Mundiais Universitários de verão (Universíada de verão) decorrerão em Chengdu de 28 de julho a 8 de agosto. Este é o primeiro evento internacional a realizar-se na região ocidental da China. As cerimónias de abertura e de encerramento têm como tema "Chengdu torna os sonhos realidade" e "Os sonhos iluminam o futuro", respetivamente.

O evento global inclui 18 grandes projectos desportivos e 269 pequenos projectos, com um total de 269 medalhas de ouro a serem atribuídas. Entre eles, o atletismo terá o maior número de medalhas de ouro disponíveis, com 50, seguido da natação, com 42, e do taekwondo e das artes marciais, com 23 e 20, respetivamente.

A Universíada de verão centra-se na proteção ambiental e na redução das emissões de carbono. Já foram introduzidos prestadores de serviços de reciclagem, o que faz com que seja o primeiro evento desportivo internacional de grande escala a fazê-lo. Além disso, mais de 90% dos 900 veículos de trabalho utilizados pelo comité organizador são veículos de nova energia. A "capacitação tecnológica" é outro dos destaques deste evento, com mais de 170 produtos tecnológicos a serem utilizados em mais de 30 locais para fornecer apoio tecnológico à competição, à participação e ao visionamento. #educationandscience

The 31st Summer World University Games (Summer Universiade) will run in Chengdu from July 28 to August 8. This is the first-ever international event to be held in China's western region. The opening and closing ceremonies are themed "Chengdu Makes Dreams Come True" and "Dreams Light Up the Future", respectively.

The global event includes 18 major sports projects and 269 minor ones, with a total of 269 gold medals to be awarded. Among them, athletics will have the most gold medals available with 50, followed by swimming with 42, and taekwondo and martial arts with 23 and 20, respectively.

The summer Universiade focuses on low-carbon and environmental protection. Recycling service providers have already been introduced, making it the first large-scale international sports event to do so. Additionally, more than 90% of the 900 working vehicles being used by the organizing committee are new energy vehicles. "Technological empowerment" is another highlight of this event, with over 170 technological products have been put to use across more than 30 venues to provide technological support for competition, participation, and viewing. #educationandscience

第31届世界大学生夏季运动会将于今年7月28日至8月8日在成都举办，这也是我国西部地区首次举办的综合性国际体育赛事。成都大运会开幕式主题为“成就梦想”，闭幕式主题为“梦想点亮未来”。大运会吉祥物“蓉宝”以熊猫基地真实的大熊猫“芝麻”为原型创作。

成都大运会比赛项目包括18个大项、269个小项，将产生269枚金牌。其中产生金牌最多的为田径项目，将产生50枚金牌。此外，游泳将产生42枚金牌，跆拳道和武术将分别产生23枚和20枚金牌。

本届成都大运会，又有哪些新的亮点？“低碳环保”是本届大运会的重点理念。在绿色低碳方面，成都大运会引入了二手循环服务类官方供应商，这也是国际大型综合赛事首次引入二手循环经济实例。此外，组委会的900多辆工作用车中，其中90%是新能源。与此同时，“科技赋能”也是本届大运会的一大亮点。成都大运会重点围绕主场馆、大运村等空间，在场馆建设、赛事保障、数字观赛等方面，实施共计170余项技术产品，覆盖30余个场馆，为办赛、参赛、观赛提供科技支撑。
